Join us for our event, Freedom of Movement: A demand for open borders. A fundraiser for SOAS Detainee Support. A hell-raising party.

Organised by Global Justice Now’s youth network, Freedom of Movement is a day imagining a world without borders, a world where freedom of movement is a universal right. Expect workshops, panel discussions, poetry, theatre, live music and DJs from migrant-led activist groups, creative collectives and bands.

Jelly Cleaver - Singer-songwriter and DJ recently played on Radio 1Xtra
Fire and Ice - Provocative and innovative theatre for human rights
DJ GW Jazz - Legendary DJ in the London jazz scene

Food by Refugee Community Kitchen Hackney

We want this event to be accessible for all, so free ticket options are available for people who cannot afford a ticket. There are also £5 waged tickets and we will be encouraging those who can to donate at the event. The panel discussions will be suitable for families and people of all ages, there will be a creche for children and alcohol won’t be served. Food will be available. For the spoken word and live music, alcohol will be served so it will only be suitable for 18+.
