Admin and Reception Volunteer

We are currently looking for admin and reception volunteer able to commit for one or two days per week. Based in our Lewisham office the role involves reception duties, providing the first point of contact for all visitors to the building and taking initial enquiries, data entry onto our client database and assisting with filing and other administrative tasks.You will need to be highly organised with experience of working with computer packages.

Social Media and Communications Volunteer

We are looking for a passionate and proactive social media and communications volunteer to join our team. As LRMN continues to expand we are seeking to improve our social media presence. This role provides the opportunity for a talented and passionate communicator to improve our visibility and gain invaluable experience.

As a social media and communications volunteer you will play a key role within a small and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be provided with professional support and development opportunities.

LRMN Trustee with Legal/Advice Background

Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN) is a vibrant and thriving organisation providing vital services to refugees, asylum seekers and migrants across London but mainly in the south and southeast. We offer information and advice on immigration, housing and welfare, help people improve their skills, volunteer and or access employment. Therapeutic activities and 1:1 counselling are offered to women who survived gender based violence including rape, trafficking, domestic violence, female genital mutilation and more. LRMN also campaigns and influences policies which adversely affect our clients' lives. We offer English, sewing and knitting classes and gardening club on a weekly basis and provide hardship funds and food parcel to destitute clients.

We are looking for a trustee member who has legal/advice experience either on housing, welfare and or immigration and passionate about the issues of refugees and migrants.

Our trustees meet every quarter and meetings are normally held on weekdays from 6.30pm -9.00pm. For more information, please visit our website

Trainee/Volunteer Counsellor for refugee women - We are currently recruiting a qualified or trainee female counsellors to join our project.

This is a good opportunity to work within a human-rights setting with women from diverse world cultures, helping them to rebuild trust, resilience and foster ability to cope with trauma. You will benefit from being part of a small supportive team, with opportunities for learning about asylum and human rights issues, and for incorporating cross-cultural and holistic approaches into your counselling practice. We provide free monthly clinical group supervision.
