LRMN’S United in Courage: Voices of Strength and Solidarity

This Refugee Week 2026, Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network is inviting the community to come together for a day of celebration, creativity and connection!

On Saturday 13 June from 11am to 4pm, we will be hosting United in Courage: Voices of Strength and Solidarity at Goldsmiths, University of London. With this year’s Refugee Week theme being courage, the event will bring people together from across Lewisham to celebrate the contributions, resilience and strength of refugee and migrant communities.

Throughout the day, you can expect live performances, music, workshops and creative activities designed for all ages. There will be storytelling, film screenings and exhibitions that highlight lived experience, identity and community power. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to connect with local organisations offering support services, learning and pathways into training and employment.

Organisations including SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS, Creating Ground, Catbytes, Facework, English for Action, Code Your Future and more will be hosting workshops and stalls throughout the day.

At LRMN, we know that community is strongest when people come together in solidarity. Refugee Week is a chance to reflect on the creativity migrant communities bring to our borough and the value this adds to our shared life.

This event is supported by Lewisham Council and the Migrant Futures Institute (MFI), and is made possible through collaboration with partners committed to inclusion, opportunity and support for all.

We welcome families, friends, neighbours, and supporters to take part. Whether you join us for a workshop, enjoy a performance, or simply spend time with others, we’d love to see you there!
