Migrant Hub Advocacy Volunteer

The Migrant Hub is a weekly drop-in centre offering free legal advice, practical support and a hot meal to migrants who are excluded from mainstream services.

Working alongside the Hub coordinator, administrator and outreach advisors the advocacy volunteers are central to the delivery of the Tuesday drop-in session.

LRMN Trustee with Legal/Advice Background

Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN) is a vibrant and thriving organisation providing vital services to refugees, asylum seekers and migrants across London but mainly in the south and southeast. We offer information and advice on immigration, housing and welfare, help people improve their skills, volunteer and or access employment. Therapeutic activities and 1:1 counselling are offered to women who survived gender based violence including rape, trafficking, domestic violence, female genital mutilation and more. LRMN also campaigns and influences policies which adversely affect our clients' lives. We offer English, sewing and knitting classes and gardening club on a weekly basis and provide hardship funds and food parcel to destitute clients.

We are looking for a trustee member who has legal/advice experience either on housing, welfare and or immigration and passionate about the issues of refugees and migrants.

Our trustees meet every quarter and meetings are normally held on weekdays from 6.30pm -9.00pm. For more information, please visit our website
