The UK is moving to an entirely digital visa regime. Our Advocacy drop-in can help anyone looking to navigate the eVisa scheme.
What are eVisas?
The Home Office is moving to an entirely digital visa scheme, so existing visa documents will be converted into eVisas.
The following physical immigration documents all expire on 31 December 2024, but that does not mean status expires! These include:
- biometric residence permits (BRP)
- biometric residence cards (BRC)
- passport endorsements, such as indefinite leave to enter wet ink stamps
- vignette stickers in passports, such as entry clearance or visa vignettes
Individuals holding visas must create a UKVI account in order to get access to their documentation. We encourage you make the transition as soon as possible.

Our Advocacy drop-in is open to all people seeking support on the new digital visa scheme. Our team of volunteers can help individuals register for, access, and navigate their eVisas.

Note: Please bring your current BRP, BRC, or passport with you in order to complete the eVisa process.
