Let's welcome our teammate Alan as our new CEO!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Robertson as our new CEO, following his position of Interim CEO and Head of Operations.

During his four years at LRMN Alan has shown an outstanding commitment to supporting refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.

Alan has been vital in supporting the organisation to develop its strategic vision, provide invaluable advice and guidance during challenges like the pandemic, and expand the services we provide to sanctuary seekers.

Going forward, Alan’s focus will be on ensuring LRMN continues to be well staffed and funded, as well as maintaining it as an invaluable safe space for sanctuary seekers in South East London.

Alan says:
“I am honoured and excited to be the new CEO at LRMN. It’s a wonderful charity that makes a tangible difference to the lives of so many sanctuary seekers.

It is fantastic to work alongside a team that embodies the care, compassion and welcome that we want to see extended to everyone rebuilding their lives in our communities.

Together with the Board, the staff, volunteers, all of our partners, and our community I am committed to continue leading with integrity to build on LRMN’s already life-changing work.”

Dr Claire Morris, Chair of Trustees, said:
“The Board of Trustees is delighted that Alan will be the new permanent CEO at LRMN.

Alan has the drive, vision and compassion to lead the team at LRMN and build on the excellent work already underway, including service delivery and campaigns.

The Board is committed to investing in our people and look forward to working with Alan in his first CEO role.”

We can’t wait to continue offering our invaluable services with Alan at our helm, and couldn’t imagine anyone more qualified to take over from Rosario.
